The snow is going into the earth!

We love the weather in Snowflake. The summers are not too hot, and the winters are not too cold. We get to have snow to play in, but it usually melts off within a day or two so we don't have to fight with it all winter.
We woke up to a couple inches of snow this morning and Halle was excited to see it. Around noon, she called for me frantically and said "The snow is going away!" and I said "Yeah, it's melting." I could tell the wheels in her head were turning as she looked out the window, trying to understand what was happening. Then she said "The snow is going into the earth!" :)
